Season 194 introduces Lineup Balance that helps Managers make the most out of their starting XI.

Based on the community feedback and available data, we have identified room for improvement surrounding squad management which will enhance football realism in Top Eleven. We are introducing the Lineup Balance, a score that will give you insights into the capability of your team to collaborate. A good Lineup Balance ensures more ball possession during the match, which means more opportunities to attack and score.

Starting from Sunday, February 23:

– We are introducing Lineup Balance – a new aspect of squad management

– We are removing the % sign from the OVR and Attribute values across the game for better readability and understandability

What is Lineup Balance?

Lineup Balance is an indicator located in the Squad screen that shows how effectively the players in your lineup can work together on the pitch. Lineup balance directly affects how well your team fights for possession, allowing you to understand the potential of your squad better and maximise their capabilities. Having players with similar OVR capabilities across all zones on the pitch leads to a more efficient performance on matchdays. Make sure to balance out as many football aspects as possible.

How does Lineup Balance work?

The Lineup Balance score impacts your team’s ball possession on the pitch – the higher the Lineup Balance the better chances of ball control in the match. With 10 being the highest score, your team’s Lineup Balance can depend on various factors such as formation, red cards, injuries, and positioning players according to their roles.

These are factors that impact your Lineup Balance:

– Each player’s OVR

– Positioning of players according to their roles

– Red card

– Injury

What is THE winning formula? There is no right or wrong answer – as long as your players follow the same football philosophy!

OVR

To accommodate for these novelties and improve the overall understanding, the OVR and Attribute values will no longer include the % sign across the game starting from February 23. This change is only visual and will not impact one’s team strength or progress. Having this in mind, the OVR is still relative to your club level and changes from one season to the next.

How do these changes impact your squad?

If there are any disproportions in your club, the starting XI might have a lower index of Lineup Balance than you would expect. Look at your weak spots – what parts of your match strategy are not aligned? That way you’ll make the most out of your OVR and increase the chances of scoring the goal!

We are looking forward to hearing your thoughts, Managers. With the Lineup Balance being live, we are constantly striving to improve your squad management and will be adapting the feature to the feedback.
